Updated | By Newswatch
The assets of an alleged truck hijacking syndicate have been frozen after the Hawks in Gauteng secured a preservation order.

The unit says the criminal investigation was prompted by two incidents in March this year where trucks carrying cargo were hijacked along the R21 near Kempton Park.
It says the suspects allegedly impersonated members of the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department and stopped unsuspecting truck drivers.
