Arrest warrent issued for #BabesWodumo, two others
The National Prosecuting Authority has applied for a warrant of arrest for Bongekile Simelane - popularly known as Babes Wodumo.
The NPA says Simelane and her lawyer were a no show at the Durban Magistrate's Court this morning - where she was due to face assault charges.
The local gqom artist and two other co-accused - are alleged to have assaulted a Durban woman at an Umbilo guesthouse last month.
The victim claims she was beaten for leaking videos of the group.
The case was opened just days after a video emerged showing Simelane being assaulted by her went viral showing her being abused by her producer boyfriend Mandla Maphumulo, known as Mampintsha.

The NPA has confirmed that the arrest warrant was issued for all three suspects.
