Armed suspects arrested for Ixopo restaurant robbery

Police have made two arrests in connection with a business robbery in Ixopo.

KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson Nqobile Gwala says two knife-wielding robbers entered a restaurant on Sunday and demanded cash from an employee.
Three other accomplices then joined them.
They took cash and fled on foot.
"Ixopo police were alerted of the robbery and they responded swiftly. The suspects were spotted on the R612 and they fled into the bushes.
"A chase ensued and two suspects aged 27 and 29 were placed under arrest. They will appear before the Ixopo Magistrates Court tomorrow on charges of business robbery."
