APC executive member, daughter shot dead in Amanzimtoti

The African People's Convention in KZN has strongly condemned the killing of one of its senior members and the woman's daughter in Amanzimtoti, south of Durban.

Ethel Dlamini and her daughter Gugu, who was in her 20s, were gunned down in their home in Ezimangweni village on Sunday.

Their killers are still on the run.
The APC's Celani Sithole says Dlamini, a central executive member, was due to attend a party meeting this weekend.

He says they have lost a leader.
"We are still looking forward to seeing the outcome of this case, to see people being arrested because while we are busy mourning, we want to see justice."
