Anti state capture plans to be announced
Civil society organisations will today release plans to fight state capture.
Hundreds of delegates met in Johannesburg for a conference hosted by the Ahmed Kathrada Foundation and Save SA yesterday.
Several proposals were put forward ahead of the motion of no confidence vote in President Jacob Zuma on 8 August.
It was suggested a campaign be staged that Members of Parliament (MPs) will be breaking the law if they vote along party lines, because it will be in violation of the Constitution.
Pooling funds to protect whistleblowers and for legal action against the controversial Gupta family were also suggested.

The final plans will be drafted and distributed today.
The conference was awash with dignitaries from labour, business and political parties - including former Finance minister Pravin Gordhan, his former deputy Mcebisi Jonas, former minister Derek Hanekom and ANC MP Makhosi Khoza.
Khoza reiterated her call for President Zuma to step down.
"Mr President, uphold the ANC constitution. Mr President, uphold the country's constitution. Step aside and let ethical leaders lead this country to a prosperous future," says Khoza.
