Another multi-million drug bust in Durban
Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
Police Minister Bheki Cele says they are hot on the heels of drug lords shipping narcotics into South Africa.
Authorities seized another cocaine haul at a warehouse on Sydney Road near the Durban port last night.
The drugs, said to be valued at millions of rands, were found hidden in boxes shipped in from Brazil.
Cele said law enforcement agencies had intercepted drugs worth half a billion rand at the Durban Habour alone in the past month and a half.

"Mostly, it would be joined with other agencies, like the first one today, which was almost R130 million from Peru, and our law enforcement has been working with people on the other side.
"This one, it will be agencies working with the business, where it is about R35 million that have been busted. If we bust R130 and R135 million, it really means something is really trying to pump the business, but it does look like the police have really raised the bar."
