Another cop killed in Durban

A manhunt is underway for the killers of a Pinetown police officer.

The 25-year-old Constable's body was found with gunshot wounds inside a state-owned minibus in the New Germany area on Tuesday morning.
This is the second policeman killed in Durban in the space of two days this week.

National SAPS spokesperson, Vishnu Naidoo says the shooting took place at about 01:30 this morning on Ridge Road in New Germany.
"The factual circumstances of the Constable's murder is unknown at this stage. The member was found slumped over in the driver's seat of a State-owned Quantum minibus with a gunshot wound to his head."
"The motive for the killing is unknown at this stage and forms part of the investigation. The member’s pistol and a R5 Rifle were still in the Quantum."
"The National Commissioner has called for an immediate manhunt for those responsible the murder," he said.
Meanwhile, Warrant Officer Theena Pillay, who was shot outside his Phoenix home on Sunday in an apparent hit will be laid to rest today.
