Anele Bhengu ‘didn’t deserve to die like a dog’, says family

The family of a murdered KwaMakhutha woman are pleading with anyone who saw her on the night she died to speak up.

Anele Bhengu's mutilated body was found in the area on Sunday. 


She had been stabbed multiple times. 


It is believed she had also been raped.

Her sister Busie Bhengu says they have been left shaken by Anele's death. 


"Justice needs to be served for my sister; that's all I'm asking from the police. They don't have here and tell me nonsense. I need justice. 


"Anele was a people's person. She was friendly, down to earth and unharmful. She doesn't deserve to die like a dog." 


She says the family last saw Anele when she left to accompany a friend to church.

"She's the last person seeing my sister. She is the only person who knows my sister and saw my sister that day. She has to tell us what happened so that we can have closure."


Police are investigating.
