ANC top brass expected to reconvene on Sunday afternoon

The ANC's national executive committee is expected to
reconvene on Sunday afternoon for another special session to discuss the Phala
Phala report.
The party's top leaders cancelled their meeting on Friday, saying ANC officials were yet to discuss the independent panel's report.
President Cyril Ramaphosa - who the report says may have committed serious violations and breached anti-corruption laws - also failed to show up at the Nasrec meeting.
The president’s been under pressure since the release of the findings, with opposition parties calling for him to resign.
Political analyst Dirk Kotze says the Phala Phala scandal doesn’t change much as the ANC prepares for its national conference.

"Because the nominations have already been submitted and have already been finalised and he has the overwhelming majority of nominations. So in that sense, it doesn't change much.
"One should not look at this as sort of an opinion poll about the political process, and that's much more than an opinion."
