Khoza recently resigned from the ANC after voting in favour of the motion of no confidence in President Jacob Zuma.

She says she had been receiving death threats and that life in the ruling party became unbearable.

Khoza believes the problems bedevilling the ANC cannot be solely blamed on President Zuma.

"I think those leaders, especially comrade Gwede Mantashe, Zweli Mkhize and Cyril Ramaphosa, I really, really felt betrayed. When they came out in the open and they said: 'You know what, this reshuffling decision, we don't know where it is coming from'. A few days later they backtracked.

"And then the next thing they force us into protecting and defending this man (Zuma) in Parliament.

"And to me I think that is leadership injudiciousness. That is being unprincipled."

Khoza says she hasn't make any decision on her political future.

"I am not starting a new party, but yes of course, I am not going to dismiss it. You need to be very careful when you are starting a new party. I have to understand why COPE failed, why AGANG failed.

"You have got to be clear what you are coming up with that is different. Are you also going to be like ID (Independent Democrats) and just disappear and get swallowed or whatever."

"I think that is something that takes a lot of time and one must not take that for granted."
