ANC: Queen Noloyiso Sandile played progressive cultural role

The African National Congress (ANC) has joined President Cyril Ramaphosa and ordinary South Africans in paying tribute to AmaRharhabe Kingdom Queen Regent Noloyiso Sandile.
The widow of the late King Maxhoba Sandile passed away on Wednesday from Covid-19 complications.
The ANC lauded the 56-year-old Queen for what the party says was her deep and unwavering commitment to the upliftment of her people.
"We applaud the progressive role Queen Noloyiso played in the development of her community and for upholding the culture and traditions of amaRharhabe.

"She understood how the institutions of traditional leadership should co-exist with systems of constitutional democracy," says the ANC's Pule Mabe.
"We hope other traditional leaders will emulate her progressive example. We convey our heartfelt condolences to the Great Place of Mngqesha and amaRharhabe."
