ANC presidency, transformation key talking points in NEC meeting

The ruling party's NEC meeting will help the party prepare for June's policy conference.

Some senior party leaders have come out in support of Cyril Ramaphosa to take over as the ANC's next president while the ANC Women's League has thrown its weight behind Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma.

There have also been calls for President Jacob Zuma to step down. Sanusha Naidoo says other party members have Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan in their sights. 

She has added that the upcoming budget speech will also be a point of discussion.
