ANC mourns two party members gunned down in Ndwedwe

The ANC on the north coast has condemned the killing of two party members in Ndwedwe.

Thulisiwe Mngadi and her partner, Blondie Phakathi, were gunned down on Sunday.
The couple was attacked while they were driving home from a social event in Mzokhulayo in the morning.
The ANC in the Gizenga Region says they came under fire on route P100.

The party described the pair as social activists who stood up for marginalised communities.
Forty-nine-year-old Mngadi’s service to the organisation spanned various roles.
She worked at the Dumisani Makhaye Branch as the ANC deputy secretary and previously served as the Women's League's Deputy Secretary in Ndwedwe.
Meanwhile, the party said in a statement that it's very concerned about the numerous public representatives in the region who have received death threats.
The murders are being investigated.
