ANC KZN supports NEC’s approach to dealing with allegedly corrupt officials

The ANC in KZN says it fully supports the National Executive Committee's decision for officials who are accused of corruption and other serious crimes to step aside.

On Monday, ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa said if they didn't do so within 30 days, they'd be suspended.
The party says the office of the secretary-general will handle the process, along with provinces.
ANC KZN Secretary Mdumiseni Ntuli says they were meeting yesterday.
"The secretary-general has convened a meeting of all provincial secretaries. The meeting will afford everyone an opportunity to share our experiences with this process."

He says decisions made by the collective must be respected.
"The highest authority has taken a decision and all of us are duty-bound to ensure that we not only respect the decision but act accordingly to the specification of the ANC to implement the decision of the majority.
"If you are not happy about you have to wait for the platform and provide an explanation and argument why you think this decision should not be pursued."
Meanwhile, the ANC Free State's provincial electoral conference held in 2018 has been declared unlawful by the Supreme Court and set aside.
