Secretary General, Fikile Mabalula says the country must not lose hope on the
idea of one day having a female president.

Mbalula was speaking at the funeral of party member Keletile Mathatha in Pretoria yesterday.

"You do not lay a hand on a woman; you respect women even if they are not, you wife or girlfriend you still show them respect. You don't just go around abusing women. We also like this thing in the ANC to be quick when it comes to removing woman from positions but keep men, we fear touching them. Even if women have weaknesses they must stay in positions. One day South Africa will be led by a woman.”
