ANC in eThekwini on AKA shooting: Durban facing serious crime issue
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
The ANC in eThekwini says the murder of rapper Kiernan 'AKA' Forbes and his friend Tebello 'Tibz' Motsoane is a sign that it's high time the city adopted advanced crime-fighting methods.

The two men were gunned down on Florida Road on Friday night.
Police are still looking for the killers.

At a briefing on Wednesday, ANC regional secretary Musa Nciki said Durban's streets had become a playground for thugs.
"The barbaric murder of Mr Kiernan 'AKA' Forbes and his close friend Tebello' Tibz' Motsoane is a sad highlight of the serious problem we are facing.
"The United Front Against Crime must be relaunched by the municipality. We indicated over the weekend that the City must install wifi operated CCTV cameras that identifies criminals through face recognition technology."
