Updated | By Sandile Bhengu
ANC secretary-general Fikile Mbalula says the party's 55th national elective conference will be held over two days when it resumes on Thursday.

He was speaking at a media briefing on Tuesday morning, on preparations for the conference as well as the organisation's 111th anniversary celebrations in the Free State.
Mbalula says there won't be any interruptions.

"The national executive committee will have to evaluate and look at everything and decide where there are gaps, how do we address.
"But we can't get into that until we conclude this conference over two days, during which the constitutional amendments will dictate what the national executive committee is given by the constitution to exercise its powers."
