Heavily armed police officers as well as members of the task team assigned to deal with political killings were present in court today.

Mnguni, who was wearing a grey golf shirt, made his way into the dock and kept his eyes fixed on the magistrate.

Mbeje followed him.

In what was a very brief appearance, the court heard the two have secured private legal representation.

The six accused face three charges of murder, five of attempted murder and one of conspiracy to commit public violence.

The State asked for the matter to be postponed to next week for bail.

The request was granted.
