Amajuba bankruptcy claims unfounded: COGTA
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
The Co-operative Governance Department has downplayed reports that the financial reserves of the Amajuba Municipality north-west of the province are almost depleted.

The DA and media reports have claimed that the municipality is left with only R400 000 in its coffers while it needs about R7-million just for employee salaries.
The department’s Lennox Mabaso says they feel there is no crisis that calls for immediate intervention there.
MEC Nomusa Dube-Ncube says the DA’s concern is not about the municipality or its employees but about its own narrow political agenda.
She says the department will however be watching the Amajuba disctrict very closely.
