Almost 100 'sex predators' nabbed within days in KZN

KwaZulu-Natal police say suspects linked to 98 sexual offence cases are now behind bars.

This after the province's Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit launched an operation to net the suspects last week.
The operation was between 3 to 6 March.
Searches were carried out in Inanda, KwaMashu, Pinetown, Pongola, Mountain Rise, Kranskop, Msinga, Eshowe and other areas.

KZN police spokesperson Thembeka Mbele says a 15 and an 89-year-old were among those arrested.
"The suspects were arrested for various crimes such as rape, sexual assault, robbery, kidnapping, assault and other cases. The arrested suspects are aged between 15 and 89."
"They appeared at the various magistrate courts across the province."
