Two men accused of playing a role in the killing of KwaZulu-Natal police captain, Dumisani Mhlanzi are due to line up in court this morning.
Their arrest follows a police search in Umbilo and Ntuzuma, north of Durban as well as a shootout in KwaMashu on Wednesday night.
Three other suspects were shot dead.
Hawks provincial spokesperson, Simphiwe Mhlongo says the men will be charged with murder.
"After the police returned fire in self-defence, the three suspects were fatally wounded. Three firearms were recovered from the suspects, of which one is suspected to have been taken from Captain Mhlanzi," he said.
