Alleged car smuggling kingpin in court
Updated | By Newswatch
A suspected vehicle smuggling syndicate kingpin believed to be behind the theft of cars in provinces, including KZN, will appear in a Musina court on Friday.

The 55-year-old was nabbed during an operation involving the Limpopo Hawks and various other units.
Police say in 2017, a large number of stolen vehicles, particularly 4×4s and SUVs, were intercepted by officers before they could be smuggled into Zimbabwe through the Limpopo River.

They started working to take down the syndicate and secured an arrest warrant for the alleged kingpin.
He was tracked down to Kempton Park on Gauteng's East Rand and was arrested.
Police say they are planning to make more arrests.
