The Department of Health in Limpopo says the remains of all 45 victims of the Easter weekend bus crash have been identified through DNA processes.
The crash on the R518 Mmamatlakala road in Mokopane claimed the lives of 45 Botswana citizens.
The 45 worshippers from Botswana died while on their way to St Engenas Zion Cristian Church (ZCC) for an Easter pilgrimage to Moria outside Polokwane when their bus plunged off the bridge and caught fire.
“The team comprised of members from the SAPS Victim Identification Unit has already finalised packaging the deceased’s remains as part of preparations towards repatriation, and the bodies are now ready,” said Limpopo Health Department spokesperson Thilivhali Muavha.
