Alert for KZN beachgoers as heavy sea swells expected
Updated | By Sandile Zikhali
Sea rescuers are urging beach goers to exercise caution along KwaZulu-Natal's coastline.
The NSRI's posted alerts warning of rough seas and strong winds, in the wake of several incidents at the province's beaches.
A woman drowned yesterday after a damaged yacht began taking on water at sea - about 10kms away from the Durban port.
Two men and a dog were rescued. On Monday, an elderly man was hospitalised after a boat accident at Isipingo Beach.

The NSRI's Craig Lambinon says a cold front's set to whip up rough seas in the next few days.
"We are urging boats and paddlers to exercise caution and observe weather warnings issued by the SA Weather Service. We are asking anglers fishing along the shoreline to be cautious during this time," Lambinon said.
