Aerial, shoreline search for north coast teen
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
The search for the missing teenager swept out to sea at Blythdale beach in KwaDukuza on the north coast on Monday has continued - but rescue boats are currently out of the water.

Extreme weather conditions are hampering search and rescue efforts.
Sea swells of up to 6 metres have been forecast along the Durban coast due to the cold front sweeping across the province.
IPSS Medical Rescue's Paul Herbst says sea operations have been suspended but the search has continued along the shoreline and from the air using drone technology.

Herbst says the 16-year-old boy is believed to have been caught in a rip current.
"He got stuck into a rip and got swept out to sea. He managed to get back towards the mid-break area when a witness said it looked like he started to panic and then went under," Herbst said.
