Accused in Siam Lee murder case will be moved to prison

The Siam Lee murder case returns to the Durban Magistrate's Court today.

The man accused of kidnapping and murdering the 20-year-old Durban North woman is expected to be moved from police holding cells to Westville Prison today.
The accused - who cannot be named as he now faces a rape charge - had requested that he be moved from the Durban North SAPS holding cells to a Pietermaritzburg prison.
At a previous court appearance - he claimed to have been tortured at Durban North. He is expected to be transferred to Westville Prison today.

Last week, Magistrate Mohamed Motala said that the 29-year-old's formal bail application would held on the 7th and 8th of March.
The man now faces 16 charges - some in connection with Lee's death.
Lee was last seen outside an alleged brothel in Durban North in early January.
