Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
The Health MEC says the Pietermaritzburg man said to have murdered his 93-year-old grandmother is a danger to the community.
It's believed he stabbed Judith Ndlela in her home in KwaDambuza.
Ndlela's mutilated body was found with several organs missing.
MEC Sibongiseni Dhlomo, who's also the chairperson of the Men’s Forum, says he's requested the suspect undergo drug tests.
The man is expected to apply for bail next week.
