7-year-old among three killed in Nongoma house fire

Officials are still investigating the cause of a fire that killed three people in northern KwaZulu-Natal.

The blaze broke out at a house in Nongoma in the early hours of Sunday.

KZN Cooperative Governance Department spokesperson Senzo Mzila says 76-year-old Muziwendoda Mhlongo, 67-year-old Busisiwe Grace Mhlongo and seven-year-old Nzuzo Dlamini were declared dead at the scene.

"MEC for Cogta Sihle Zikalala has sent condolences to the families that have been affected and assigned disaster management teams to continue to support the family during this difficult moment."
