Updated | By Lauren Beukes
The search for a biker who went missing in the Glendale area, north of Durban, has come to a tragic end.
Speaking to Newswatch, his family identified him as Ryan Leach.
Rescue teams recovered his body after volunteers scouring dense bushland alerted them on Monday morning.
Samantha Meyrick, who's with IPSS Medical Rescue, says it's believed he experienced some difficulty while he was riding his bike on Sunday.
Before he disappeared he made contact with a family member and sent a pin to his location.

His bike was later found, but there was no sign of the missing man.
"We received information that a biker was missing after falling off his bike in the Glendale area. An extensive search was conducted during daylight hours. START Rescue K9 units were activated to the area and searched the area extensively.
"The use of a drone with thermal imaging was also used. However, nothing was found last night and the search was called off due to a storm in the area."
