7 killed in Vryheid collision

Seven people have been killed in a road accident in northern KZN.
A car and a bakkie collided on the R34 in Vryheid a short while ago.
KZN Emergency Medical Services spokesperson, Robert McKenzie, says several people have been hurt.
"Paramedics treated 6 critically injured patients at the scene before transporting them to hospital."

"The exact cause of the collision is unknown at this stage and will be investigated by police."
That section of the road near Lakeside Park has been closed to traffic.
