7 gunned down at Mariannhill tuck shop

Seven people including have been gunned down at a tuck shop in
Mariannhill, west of Durban.
Police say the group were at the Siqhopholozi Tuckshop on Saturday evening when they were approached by an unknown group of men who opened fire on them.
Six people were declared dead at the scene while another man was rushed to hospital in a critical condition.
The man later succumbed to his injuries.

Police spokesperson Jay Naicker says the deceased are between the ages of 30 and 65 years old.
"Initial investigations revealed that three of the deceased were the tuckshop owner as well as his two sons and one of the deceased’s who was waiting at the tuckshop to see a traditional healer, might have been the actual target of the hit."
Naicker says KwaZulu-Natal police commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi has mobilised all available police resources to hunt down the killers.
