51 COVID-19 deaths, over 800 cases reported in SA

South Africa has
recorded 51 more coronavirus related deaths, bringing the
country’s death toll to 54 237.
According to the latest statistics released by Health Minister Zweli Mkhize on Tuesday evening, Limpopo, Mpumalanga and North West recorded zero fatalities.
Northern Cape 2, Free State 3, Eastern Cape 6, Kwa-Zulu Natal 9 and Gauteng 20.

“We convey our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the health care workers who treated the deceased patients,” said Mkhize.
880 new infections were reported over the period.
This brings the country’s total number of Covid-19 cases to 1 577 200.
The country’s recoveries now stand at 1 502 986, representing a recovery rate of 95%.
