5 killed in KwaMashu hostel shooting
KwaZulu-Natal police have confirmed there has been another shooting in Durban in which five people have been killed.
The second incident at a hostel in KwaMashu brings to eight the number of people killed in the city this morning.
Police say an unknown group of men entered the hostel north of Durban at about 7am and opened fire on the occupants of one of the rooms.
Another man has been left critically injured.
About an hour earlier three other people were shot dead when suspects opened fire on them with automatic weapons at the Brook Street taxi rank in the Durban CBD.
Police say 11 people have been arrested and seven firearms have been recovered following the incident.
