11 arrested in Durban CBD fatal shooting

There is a heavy police presence at the scene of a fatal shooting at a taxi rank in the Durban CBD this morning.

Three people were killed and three others hurt in the incident near the intersection of Dr Pixley KaSeme and Brook streets this morning.
Officers say it is still not clear what led to the shooting at about 6am this morning.
The three lifeless bodies are still lying on the ground of a cordoned off section of the taxi rank where the shooting took place a few hours ago.
A group of clearly shocked taxi drivers and commuters have gathered in the area.
Eyewitnesses are remaining tightlipped about what they saw this morning but some did say there was chaos when gunshots were fired.
Police say 11 people have been arrested and seven firearms recovered.
A community member and a security guard are among the dead the third person still needs to be identified.
