5 hurt after runaway truck crashes into taxi in Durban

There's been a freak crash involving a truck and mini-bus taxi in Umbilo in Durban this morning.

KZN VIP Medical Paramedics says the incident occurred on Umbilo and Fairmont Road.
Spokesperson, Rowan Scandroglio said: "Paramedics arrived on the scene to find that a runaway truck had somehow rolled back, colliding into the taxi.

"Five people from the taxi sustained moderate injuries and were stabilized on the scene before being transported to a nearby Durban Hospital for the further treatment that they required.
"At this stage the events leading up to the accident are unknown however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further."
