31 cops killed in last three months
The SAPS says a total of 31 police officers have been killed in the country in the last three months.
This includes officers in KZN.
Last week, an off-duty cop was attacked and killed in his Avoca home.
Last month, a metro cop was killed when he unknowingly pulled over suspected hijackers.

They're due to appear in court on Friday.
The SAPS' national spokesperson Athlenda Mathe says they're concerned by the growing number of attacks on officers.
She says Police Minister Bheki Cele's urged police to not hesitate and react with force.
"The must be vigilant and operationally ready to act in any circumstances. If force is required, it must at all times be necessary, reasonable and proportional. We are pleading with our members not to die with the resources and tools that we have given you.”
