ANC KZN hopes for more arrests in councillor’s murder
Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
The ANC in the Moses Mabhida Region is confident that more arrests will be made soon in the investigation into a Msunduzi ward councillor’s assassination.

Mabhungu Mkhize - a Ward 41 councillor - was gunned down on Friday afternoon.
One other person was wounded.
Police say two gunmen ambushed and shot the pair while they were sitting in a vehicle.
Fory-five-year-old Mkhize is said to have tried to drive away but lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a house.
The councillor succumbed to his injuries later in hospital.
Plessislaer police have nabbed two suspects so far, and are trying to track down the masterminds.
The ANC’s regional secretary Samora Ndlovu says Mkhize was killed a few days after an attempted hit on an ANC Ward 7 councillor in Mkhambathini Local Municipality.
"We are not aware if this has anything to do with political killings, obviously police are still investigating this murder and attempted murder. But what we can say about councillor Mkhize, is that he was a very humble guy. He was one of the councillors that were elected popular in the ward, so we are really not sure at the moment.
“We are hoping that the police will be able to figure out what was the motive of this killing.”
