3 killed in south coast bus crash
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
Three people have been killed in a bus crash
near Elysium on the south coast.
While it's not yet clear what caused the collision, medics say the vehicle plunged down an embankment after it veered off the N2 late on Monday evening.
Craig Botha, who is with Kwazulu Private Ambulance, says they quickly assessed the scene.
"We found that one patient had sustained critical injuries, and a further 23 patients had sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious.
"The patients were treated on scene before being transported to the hospital for further treatment.
"Sadly, three occupants had sustained fatal injuries and had succumbed to their injuries before emergency services arrived."
