29 areas hit by 12-hour water shutdown in KwaDukuza

Umgeni Water says 29 areas will be affected by a 12-hour planned shutdown in KwaDukuza on the north coast on Monday.
Spokesperson Shami Harichunder says the Lower Thukela pipeline shut down at 6am this morning until 6 this evening.
Harichuder says these areas will experience no water or low pressure in this period.

"Umgeni Water will shutdown the Lowe Thukela Bulk Potable Water Pipeline that carries drinking water from Mandeni all the way down to Groutville. The shutdown is taking place because essential repairs have to be undertaken on the pipeline.
"The pipeline has quite a large leak which has to be repaired as a matter of extreme urgency, these areas include Sans Soucis, Shakaville, Stanger Manor and the Stanger business district."

"Umgeni Water has made an appeal to consumers to lease bare with us while the work is being underway."
