28 KZN schools burgled since lockdown
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
KwaZulu-Natal Education MEC, Kwazi Mshengu says 28 schools in the province have been burgled since the start of the coronavirus lockdown.

In KwaMashu, computer equipment was stolen from eThekwini Primary.
In Bergville, Bambazi High was set on fire last week.
Mshengu says they need the community's help to catch the culprits.
"We continue to call on communities to reclaim their streets as well as to protect their schools. We have realised that this battle will not be won without the involvement and the activeness of communities."
The MEC says they have been working with the police to try to track them down.
"We are also suspecting that there is a consecutive effort by some syndicates to ensure that our schools are targeted for whatever reason."
