22 400 new Covid-19 cases in SA

Over 370 more people, who were diagnosed with Covid-19 in South Africa, have died.

This brings the pandemic death toll to 63 873.
More than 22 400 new infections have been picked up countrywide.

These represent a 29.5% positivity rate.
Active cases now have breached the 200 000 mark.
KwaZulu-Natal's reported over 1 600 new infections.
Gauteng, the epicentre of the third wave, has confirmed over 11 500 more.

More than 175 000 vaccinates were administered on Friday.
The total number of jabs received has climbed to over 4.2 million.
