'20 jobs not enough’ say unemployed KZN doctors
Updated | By Celumusa Zulu
Doctors demanding jobs in KwaZulu-Natal’s health facilities are urging government to find additional funding to hire unemployed workers.

More than 100 jobless doctors staged another sit-in outside the Premier's Office this week.
Premier Thami Ntuli has promised the group 20 posts will be made available within a week.
However, one of the organisers says that’s nowhere near enough.
Dr Kenneth Sithole says around 150 qualified doctors are seeking employment.

He says they won’t leave until concrete solutions are on the table.
"While we welcome the 20, there's still a need for more posts to be advertised it. In times of crisis, obviously some of the things we find that cannot be addressed within the realm of normal, you have to try and stretch yourself and actually divert or source funds if you have to.
"We've seen recently where the premier actually sourced an amount of R900 million to assist with the crisis in the Department of Education."
