Two women have been killed in a collision involving pedestrians in central Durban.

Ten other people have been hurt in Friday morning's double-vehicle crash on Johannes Nkosi Street near Joseph Nduli Street, formerly the city's Alice and Russell Streets.
Reports from the scene are that the bus and car collided with a group of pedestrians.
"Paramedics arrived on scene to find total carnage," says ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson.

"Two pedestrians, both females believed to be in their 20s and 30s, had sustained fatal injuries and there was nothing more paramedics could do for them and they were declared deceased at the scene.
"Ten patients are currently being treated on the scene. They will be transported to nearby hospitals for the further care that they require. Traffic is severally affected as the scene is taking three lanes of traffic as you enter the Durban CBD."
