16 injured in Durban CBD multi-vehicle crash

Sixteen people have been hurt in a seven vehicle pile-up in the Durban CBD.
It's understood one of the drivers lost control of their vehicle and crashed into six others on Warwick Avenue on Tuesday evening.
Life Response 24/7's Leon Fourie says one person has been rushed to hospital with critical injuries.
"Four of the vehicles involved were taxis and the remainder were light mother vehicles.

"A total of 16 patients were injured on scene. One patient sustained critical injuries and required advanced life support treatment before begin transported to a nearby hospital.
"Traffic in the area was severely affected and the N3 incoming off-ramp was closed off to traffic. The scene has now been cleared and the roadway has reopened," says Fourie.
