A minor was arrested on Sunday evening after gunshots rang out on Sharon Crescent at the Protea Heights in Brackenfell.
The murders of a 37-year-old man and 37-year-old woman have since gripped the community in the Western Cape, about 30km east of Cape Town.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting incident remain unclear, with investigations currently underway.
“Brackenfell police attended to the crime scene where they found the victims with gunshot wounds to their bodies,” provincial police spokesperson Wesley Twigg confirmed on Monday.
“The victims were declared deceased on the scene by paramedics."

Warren is believed to be the brother of singer Craig Lucas, winner of The Voice SA season 2.
