15 killed in crash involving two taxis transporting Limpopo kids to school

A crash between two minibus taxis transporting pupils to school and a truck on the R579 at Motetema in Limpopo has claimed the lives of at least 15 people.

Spokesperson for the provincial Transport Department, Tidimalo Chuene says it is not yet known how many of the victims where children.

“Law enforcement officers and emergency services are still processing the scene of an accident which happened this morning on R579 in Motetema, Limpopo.
"The road remains temporarily closed.”
Chuene says the cause of the crash will be investigated.
