14 killed in horror crash

A horror crash near Escourt has claimed the lives of at least 14 people.

Traffic authorities say three vehicles including a taxi, collided on the Joburg side of the N3, late last night amid heavy downpours.
Robert Mckenzie from KZN EMS says the crash involved two trucks and a minibus.

"Tragically fourteen people have sustained fatal injuries in this crash, thirteen women and one man were amongst the victims," said Mckenzie.
One patient was critically injured and was transported to hospital for medical care.
Details on the cause of the crash aren't clear at this stage.

Sadly 14 people have sustained fatal injuries in this crash. One person was transported to hospital for continued medical care.
