13 hurt after PMB taxi crashes into wall

Thirteen people have been injured after their minibus taxi crashed into a wall along Winston Road in Pietermaritzburg.

Authorities will be investigating the cause of Tuesday afternoon's crash and prior events that caused the driver to lose control.

Netcare 911 responded to the scene along with firefighters where jaws of life had to be used to free the occupants.
"Medics assessed the scene and found that thirteen people had sustained minor to moderate injuries," says the medical service's spokesperson Shawn Herbst.
"All the patients were treated on scene and once stabilised were transported by various ambulance services to hospital for further treatment."
