13 347 new Covid cases, 226 deaths recorded in SA

Two hundred and twenty-six more people diagnosed with Covid-19 in the country have died.
South Africa's recorded a total of 60 264 fatalities since the coronavirus outbreak last year.
Over 13 300 new infections have been registered in the last 24 hour cycle, which represent a 26.2% positivity rate.

Cases in Gauteng continue to rise steadily, with the province picking up almost 9 000 new infections.
Over 900 more cases have been confirmed in KwaZulu-Natal.
Meanwhile, 2.9 million vaccinations have been administered under both the Sisonke and national programme.
