0% matric pass rate for three KZN schools

While there's been an improvement in KZN's matric results - education officials say non-performing schools remain a concern.

MEC Kwazi Mshengu says at the three worst performing schools, not a single matric pupil passed.

1. Phindizwe High in the King Cetshwayo district
2. Fingqindlela Secondary in the Ugu district
3. Mahlokohloko Secondary in the uMzinyathi district #KZNMatricResults19
Two of the schools are in Eshowe and Msinga in northern KZN and the third in the Midlands.
The number of schools with a zero percent pass rate is down by 50 percent.
Mshengu says they'll be working to turn the situation around, "It had decline from six last year. We want to make a commitment that next year we should not be reporting on this category.

He adds, "We will make sure these three schools will get the necessary support to ensure that they move from this disappointing category."
